Uuuuugh!<\/p>\n<p>However, that does mean The Machine can shift our undivided attention to an event as equally exciting\u00a0as the Super Bowl, The Draft! Considering it\u00a0is right around the corner (3 months and counting!!)\u00a0 we decided to throw together our first mock draft.\u00a0 To add a bit of gamesmanship, we&#8217;ll be\u00a0alternating selections between Roidrage and Ginger King.\u00a0 RR, you&#8217;re on the clock&#8230;<\/p>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"71\">\n<h1><strong>1<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Kansas City Chiefs:<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Luke Joeckle<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">OT<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Texas A&amp;M<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"54\"><em>Analysis:<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0Between the mounting injuries, Romel\u00a0Crennels\u00a0abysmal coaching efforts and underwhelming QB play, the Chiefs weren&#8217;t very competitive in 2012.\u00a0 However, for being the &#8220;worst&#8221; team in the league, the Chiefs have some decent young building blocks in place: Jamaal\u00a0Charles, Dwyane\u00a0Bowe (FA), Eric Berry, Derrick Johnson and Tambi\u00a0Hali.\u00a0Andy Reid and staff\u00a0represent an upgrade in the coaching department.\u00a0 He&#8217;ll no doubt want to address the weakest QB group in the league (Matt Cassel, Brady Quinn &#8211; okay, maybe not as bad as the Cardinals but still dreadful!)\u00a0 While the Chiefs could certainly fall in love with a QB prospect (Smith, Wilson, Nassib) in the next few months, chances are they can get similar value in the early second round (or trade back into the late first).\u00a0 Joeckle is a &#8220;safe&#8221; pick that should be an anchor on their O-line for years to come.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1><strong>2<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Jacksonville Jaguars:<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Damontre Moore<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">DE<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Texas A&amp;M<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis:\u00a0 How is it possible that a team that has had 5 consecutive Top 10 selections (6 including this year) not have a solid nucleus of talent?\u00a0 Because said team has used said Top 10 picks on people like Blaine Gabbert\u00a0and Tyson Alualu.\u00a0 Where to start.\u00a0 The Jags need help (literally) at every single position, so they\u00a0could go in a number of different directions.\u00a0\u00a0However, their current starting DEs consist of Jason Babin\u00a0(age: 32) and Jeremy\u00a0Mincey\u00a0(age: doesn&#8217;t matter because he&#8217;s awful (29)).\u00a0 Moore steps in and instantly becomes a starting DE, and likely the best defensive player on the team.\u00a0 &#8220;DaMonster&#8221; had 12.5 sacks last season (the formidable duo of Babin\/Mincey combined for 10) and has room to grow in his 248 lb frame.\u00a0 He has the quickness and athleticism to line up at DE and LB, giving the Jags the ability to move him around the field in different coverage looks.\u00a0 \u00a0The Jags finally get a Top 10 pick right.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>3<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Oakland Raiders<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Star Lotulelei<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">DT<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Utah<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis:\u00a0 The 2012 Raiders didn&#8217;t do much right in their first year under 12-year-old Dennis Allen.\u00a0 But perhaps nothing was worse than their run defense.\u00a0 The gave up 1897 yards on the ground ( 119 yrds\/gm); 9 times allowing 100+ yards rushing and 3 times allowing 220+ yards.\u00a0 None more memorable than Doug Martins 251 yards (and 4 TDs) on the ground in Week 9!\u00a0 Considering Tommy Kelly (32) and Richard Seymour (33) are on the wrong side of 30, Lotulelei\u00a0makes too much sense here and there is a strong possibility he doesn&#8217;t even last this long!\u00a0 He is that good.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>4<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Philadelphia Eagles<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Dee Milliner<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">CB<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Alabama<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis:\u00a0 Every night, Joe Banner and Co. pray that Luke Joeckle falls to them here.\u00a0 They need OL help.\u00a0 But Andy Reid will send a big FU to his former employer (note: spite is a perfectly good reason to draft a player) leaving the Eagles empty-handed.\u00a0 #4 is too high to draft Eric Fisher or Chance Warmack, and if Philly can&#8217;t trade down, they&#8217;re left to plug some other holes.\u00a0 Secondary is an obvious one.\u00a0 The duo of Asomugha\u00a0and DRC\u00a0has been anything but dynamic.\u00a0 DRC\u00a0wants a new contract, and Asomugha\u00a0is going to count $16 million against the cap this year, crazy considering he&#8217;s awful in pass coverage.\u00a0 One or both of these guys may be gone.\u00a0 Dee is by far the best corner in this draft, following an impressive trend of SEC corners (see Stephon\u00a0Gilmore, Dre Kirkpatrick).\u00a0 At 6&#8217;1&#8243;, he&#8217;s the perfect height to defend the jump ball, and has the speed and power to get physical at the line.\u00a0 Going against Eli, Romo, and RGIII\u00a0twice a year, the Eagles need a consistent and dependable secondary.\u00a0 A unanimous first-team All American, Dee was the anchor in Bama&#8217;s secondary, and should have an immediate impact.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>5<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Detroit Lions<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Bjoern Werner<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">DE<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Florida St.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis:\u00a0 The Lions continue building from their strength\u00a0and spend another high draft pick on the defensive line (Suh, Farley).\u00a0 It seems as though the team will part ways with Kyle van De Bosch, and Werner represents and ideal replacement (and upgrade considering KVDB&#8217;s\u00a0decline this year).\u00a0 Werner has a quick first step and is strong at the point of attack; he plays well against the run and can get after the passer.\u00a0 Coaches may fall in love with his raw ability and tremendous upside.\u00a0\u00a0 When you play Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson twice a year, you can&#8217;t have too many athletic defensive linemen that bring it every play.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>6<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Cleveland Browns<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Jarvis Jones<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">OLB<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Georgia<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis: The Browns will be doing cartwheels if Jones is here.\u00a0 The Browns need defensive power, pressure, and speed.\u00a0 Jarvis solves all three.\u00a0 While Barkevious\u00a0Mingo (Greatest. Name. Ever.) will get a look here, the Browns can&#8217;t pass on Jones.\u00a0 He&#8217;s as much of a sure thing for Cleveland since LeBron (pre taking his talents to South Beach).\u00a0 Jarvis led the nation in sacks with 14.5, to go\u00a0with 85 tackles and 1 interception.\u00a0 Jarvis won&#8217;t stop Cleveland from picking in the Top 10 next year, but he&#8217;s\u00a0a big step in the right direction.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>7<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Arizona Cardinals<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Geno Smith<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">QB<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">WV<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis:\u00a0 This is a dream scenario for Bruce Arians and the Arzona\u00a0Cardinals.\u00a0 The top rated QB falls to the team most desperate\u00a0for a QB.\u00a0 Arians is creative enough to build an offensive to maximize Smiths strengths (and hide his limitations).\u00a0 Quarterbacks stocks tend to rise as we approach the draft, so Geno could be off the board sooner than this.\u00a0 But for now we&#8217;ll dream of the Arians-Smith-Fitzgerald potential!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"47\" \/>\n<col width=\"162\" \/>\n<col width=\"184\" \/>\n<col span=\"2\" width=\"100\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"4\" width=\"47\" height=\"68\">\n<h1>8<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"162\"><em>Buffalo Bills<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"184\"><strong>Cordarrelle Patterson<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">WR<\/td>\n<td width=\"100\">Tenn<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td rowspan=\"3\" colspan=\"4\" height=\"51\">Analysis: The Bills need to improve their offense.\u00a0 QB is an option, but truly a reach here.\u00a0 There are a collection of QBs\u00a0that rank in the &#8220;meh&#8221; mess.\u00a0 The Dolphins traded their best corner,\u00a0Vontae Davis, for a second round pick, Sean Smith is a free agent, and Richard Marshall and Nolan Carroll are far from being consistent contributors (that&#8217;s being generous).\u00a0\u00a0Banks had a solid career at Mississippi St., and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation&#8217;s best defensive back.\u00a0 WR is also an option, especially if Cordarrelle Patterson is still available.\u00a0 However,\u00a0the free agent pool is deep at receiver, so the Dolphins should make a run at Greg Jennings or Dwayne\u00a0Bowe.\u00a0 The free agent pool at DB is not, so this need must be addressed in the draft.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<colgroup>\n<col isn&#8217;t merely a by-producted of underwhelimg MAC talent.\u00a0 He could absolutely be every bit the player that Joeckle is (and 12 picks later!).\u00a0 It wouldn&#8217;t shock us to see the Bucs grab a QB here, as they clearly (and rightfully) aren&#8217;t sold on Freeman.\u00a0 Regardless of how is quarterbacking this franchise in the future, they will love having this stud denfese as the &#8217;85 Bears were good!\u00a0Rob (I&#8217;ll probably be out of work for 5 minutes&#8230;err&#8230; 4 weeks) joins wunderkind Sean Peyton on the sidelines to try to fix the mess.\u00a0 The first order of business is switching to a 34 defense.\u00a0 Without the luxury of a second round pick (kill the head and your draft will follow) the Saints have to grab a defense piece early.\u00a0 Hankins has the size to anchor the NT in Ryan&#8217;s defense.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"593\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\"
