Is your bracket busted?\u00a0 Yours truly was looking great until Wisconsin just ruined it all!\u00a0 Oh well, it\u2019s time to focus on what\u2019s really important.\u00a0 The NFL Draft!<\/p>\n

We\u2019re almost a month away (but you knew that) from the most important (not actual) sporting event.\u00a0 Teams looking to rebuild (Cleveland, again), reload (New England, again), and just fill in the last remaining pieces to a championship run.<\/p>\n

Now, if you\u2019ve looked at mock drafts thus far, good for you\u2026but they are utterly meaningless.\u00a0 Any mock you see pre-Combine is worthless.\u00a0 Ditto for anything pre-free agency.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know how many times we\u2019ve stressed this to anyone that will listen, but teams are built through free agency, and then supplemented via the draft.\u00a0 You think Philly\u2019s going WR after signing Alshon Jeffrey???\u00a0 You think Chicago\u2019s drafting a qb after signing Mike Glennon (possible, but unlikely). \u00a0Anyway, it\u2019s still too early for a full mock, but let\u2019s give you a flavor for our Top 10.\u00a0 Here.\u00a0 We.\u00a0 Go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Congrats on being the best player in the Draft. Your reward is a trip to Cleveland and a losing season.<\/p><\/div>\n

Instant Analysis:\u00a0 I think the Browns are locked on to Garrett. \u00a0Let\u2019s be honest:\u00a0 The Browns need a lot of things.\u00a0 Yes, they need a quarterback.\u00a0 Yes, they need a running back.\u00a0 But what they really need most is a sure thing\u2026and Garrett is the only sure thing in this Draft.\u00a0 Plus, the Browns also have the #12 pick (finally, they are doing this draft thing right and stockpiling picks).\u00a0 It\u2019s possible that Trubisky, Fournette, or Cook fall to #12.\u00a0 It\u2019s not possible that Garrett does.\u00a0 Try all you want, but defenses still win championships.<\/p>\n

\"Stock<\/a>

Stock is falling.<\/p><\/div>\n

Other notables:\u00a0 The Jets (wisely) pass on a RB in the first round and shore up their secondary.\u00a0 LA splashes with a WR (hey, they need to sell tickets, defense may win championships, but offense sells luxury boxes).\u00a0 For now, I have Fournette going in the Top 10\u2026but that slow 40 may drop him.\u00a0 I do think that he will be the second running back taken, as Dalvin Cook fits the modern day running back mold (dual threat running and receiving).\u00a0 And Buffalo switches gears and goes with the best cover corner in the draft, after losing Stephon Gilmore to free agency (see how that works).<\/p>\n
