Ward anchor a prolific secondary.<\/p>\n<p>But best of all, the Broncos D turns great quarterbacks into average ones.\u00a0 Need proof.\u00a0 Look no further than this postseason.\u00a0 Denver played Pittsburgh in the divisional round, and many thought Pittsburgh, with their high-octane offense, would win.\u00a0 Big Ben had the second best QBR in the league (76.9) during the regular season.\u00a0 Against the Broncos:\u00a0 0 tds, and 53.2 QRB.\u00a0 But what about the Conference Championship game?\u00a0 So glad you asked.\u00a0 Denver played New England, the defending Super Bowl Champions.\u00a0 Again, many people (cough, <a href=\"https:\/\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/?p=2542\">Roid Rage<\/a>, cough) thought New England would win.\u00a0 Tommy Terrific, who <u>led the league<\/u> with 36 touchdowns and only 7 ints, and a 64.4 QBR, got prison-style pounded.\u00a0 Stat line:\u00a0 1 td, 2 int, 22 QBR.\u00a0 To put that into perspective, Nick Foles had the worst QBR for starting quarterbacks\u2026at 30.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2554\" style=\"width: 664px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Broncos-Defense-2.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2554\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2554\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Broncos-Defense-2.jpg?resize=584%2C389&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Insert Cam Newton on ground.\" width=\"584\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Broncos-Defense-2.jpg?w=654&amp;ssl=1 654w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Broncos-Defense-2.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Broncos-Defense-2.jpg?resize=450%2C300&amp;ssl=1 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2554\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Insert Cam Newton on ground.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Denver Broncos turn quarterbacks into Nick Foles.\u00a0 Period.\u00a0 The end.\u00a0 But we\u2019re just getting started.<\/p>\n<p>But Ginger, you say, Carolina isn\u2019t exactly soft on defense.\u00a0 They too have a formidable D.\u00a0 True, but that brings me to my next point.\u00a0 Injuries.\u00a0 The Broncos have no significant injuries on their defense.\u00a0 Carolina has 2 key starters who are injured.\u00a0 Thomas Davis broke his arm two weeks ago in the NFC Championship Game.\u00a0 Since then, he\u2019s had surgery, and now has a plate with 11 to 12 screws in his arm.\u00a0 That\u2019s pretty bad ass, but obviously will be a limiting factor.\u00a0 Also, Jared Allen is limping into the Super Bowl.\u00a0 Allen fractured his foot in the playoffs against Seattle, and sat out against Arizona.\u00a0 With only three weeks to heal, will that give him enough time to be at full strength, to push off to get leverage at the end?\u00a0 Answer: no.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m 600+ words into this post and haven\u2019t said these two:\u00a0 Peyton Manning.\u00a0 Sure, his neck is being held together with super glue and his forehead\u2019s the size of a Buick, but if you think the NFL is not going to have Peyton Manning win his last football game ever, you are bat shit crazy.\u00a0 Put your tinfoil hat on and hear me out.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2555\" style=\"width: 570px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Peyton-Manning.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2555\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2555\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Peyton-Manning.jpg?resize=560%2C331&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"One. Time.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Peyton Manning has given his whole life to football.\u00a0 He is a football God, and will go down as one of the greatest players of all time.\u00a0 The consummate professional, who always stressed the team over individual accolades (of which he has many).\u00a0 The old gunslinger gets a chance to go out on top, and have the storybook ending of all storybook endings.\u00a0 And you can bet your ass RGI will give it to him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bigredsportsmachine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Peyton-Plane.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" story to right the wrongs, and shift the country\u2019s attention back to the lighter side of football.\u00a0 \u201cSee honey, football isn\u2019t so bad.\u00a0 Look at Peyton Manning.\u00a0 Come on Junior, let\u2019s go sign you up for the youth rec league.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cThanks Dad.\u00a0 I love you, and I love the new, officially licensed NFL jerseys.\u00a0 Can I get one?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And, while Peyton hasn\u2019t been the Peyton of old this season, he\u2019s still Peyton-fucking-Manning, and that\u2019s pretty good by most standards.\u00a0 He\u2019s been efficient (don\u2019t say game manager), effective (don\u2019t say game manager), and strategic (don\u2019t say game manager) this postseason.\u00a0 Quick:\u00a0 who has thrown more interceptions in the playoffs, Peyton or Cam?\u00a0 Answer: Cam.\u00a0 Peyton\u2019s thrown exactly 0 ints this postseason\u2026not bad for a guy who doesn\u2019t show up in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason Peyton will succeed:\u00a0 Eli Manning.\u00a0 Obviously, I can\u2019t write a Super Bowl post without telling you how <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2016\/02\/01\/how-eli-manning-tried-to-help-peyton-solve-the-panthers\/\">Eli factors in<\/a>.\u00a0 Not only has Eli given Peyton tips on the Patriots, but he also gave id=\"caption-attachment-2557\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">And that&#8217;s how you dab.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Also, Denver has better skill players on offense.\u00a0 Sure, Greg Olsen is better than any tight end on the Broncos, but I\u2019ll take Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders over Ted Ginn, Jr. and Corey Brown all day long.\u00a0 Both Thomas and Sanders have over 1,000 receiving yards this season\u2026Thomas has more yards (1,304) than Ginn and Brown <u>combined<\/u> (1,186).\u00a0 And in the backfield, CJ Anderson and Ronnie Hillman provide a better 1-2 punch than Jonathan Stewart and Fozzy Whittaker.<\/p>\n<p>All the Broncos have done is prove you wrong this postseason.\u00a0 And they\u2019ll do it again on Sunday.\u00a0 I think the game will be close and low scoring.\u00a0 I love the Broncos getting 5.5, and would bet the under, currently at 44.\u00a0 Defense will rule this game.<\/p>\n<p>Remember the movie Tombstone (note: if you haven\u2019t seen Tombstone, you don\u2019t belong on this site).\u00a0 Anyway, Peyton is Doc Holliday, a man many thought was too sick and crippled to fight.\u00a0 But old Doc had one more good one left in him.\u00a0 Come Sunday, Peyton will
