\"Fantasy<\/a>Week 1\u2019s in the books, and already, things are getting crazy.\u00a0 Key injuries (Dez) and busts (CJ Anderson) may already be affecting your team.\u00a0\u00a0 Time to throw in the towel?\u00a0 Ginger, please!\u00a0 Fantasy championships are won by savvy waiver wire pickups.\u00a0 And, depending on how hung over we are, we\u2019ll hook you up with weekly waiver wire grabs.\u00a0 Now, on to the show.<\/p>\n

Tyrod Taylor, QB, Buffalo (% owned in Yahoo! league, 13%)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"If<\/a>

If he beats the Pats today, they will build a statute for him and he’ll become Mayor of Buffalo<\/p><\/div>\n

This weird thing happens every year in Buffalo.\u00a0 Stop me if you\u2019ve heard this before. Bills start out hot (\u201cthis is our Year!\u201d mutters a drunk Buffalonian from beneath a pile of wings).\u00a0 Last year\u2019s failures are forgotten.\u00a0 Bills have a big statement win (in September).\u00a0 Chris Berman trots out his \u201cNobody circles the wagons\u201d shtick.\u00a0 The whole City gets filled with excitement\u2026and then [note: Bills fans stop reading] the Bills go 2-6 down the stretch and New England wins the AFC East.\u00a0 Seriously, this happens every year.<\/p>\n

BUT, according to Roid Rage, this year it\u2019s different.\u00a0 This year really is THE YEAR.\u00a0 He has the excitement and innocence of a puppy\u2026I just don\u2019t have the heart to break his spirit (and I\u2019m certainly not going to stand in the way of his Rex Ryan back tat).<\/p>\n

Having said that, we like what we’ve seen from Tyrod.\u00a0 He was solid last week against the Colts, throwing for nearly 200 yards with a touchdown and 0 ints.\u00a0 He also added 41 rushing yards.\u00a0 You know Rex will be fired up to play the Pats at home.\u00a0 That means plenty of gimmick plays for Tyrod (yes, the read option is a gimmick).\u00a0 There are points to be had against the Pats secondary\u2026who gave\u00a0up over 350 yards to Big Ben last week.\u00a0 We like Tyrod to lead the team in rushing, and lead the Bills to the Super Bowl (edited by Roid Rage). \u00a0If anything, he’s worth a spot on your bench ahead of guys like Joe Flacco and Andy Dalton.<\/p>\n

Lance Dunbar, RB, Dallas (17%)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Forget<\/a>

Forget Terrance, Lance will be the main benefactor with Dez out.<\/p><\/div>\n

Yes, yes, yes, we know, Terrance Williams was the biggest pick up of the week, with Dez out for 4-6 weeks.\u00a0 But don\u2019t overlook Lance.\u00a0 In fact, you should pick him up right now, because that 17% is going to change quickly.\u00a0 Care to guess who led the Cowboys in receptions and yards last week, even with Dez in the game?\u00a0 Lance, who was targeted 8 times, caught all 8 balls for 70.\u00a0 A no brainer pickup, especially in a PPR league.<\/p>\n

David Johnson, RB, Arizona (32%)<\/strong><\/p>\n

You’re up, rookie!<\/p><\/div>\n

The pride of Northern Iowa, rookie running back David Johnson is in a prime position to see plenty of action.\u00a0 With oft-injured Andre Ellington injured again, Johnson will slide right in to split carries with Chris Johnson, who is days away from being on the wrong side of 30.\u00a0 David only caught one ball last week, but he made the most of it, taking it to the house for a 55 yard touchdown.\u00a0 He\u2019ll get more chances to shine in the upcoming weeks.\u00a0 Low risk, high reward pickup, especially in PPR leagues.<\/p>\n

Larry Donnell, TE, NYG (39%)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Safe.<\/a>

Safe. Boring. Money.<\/p><\/div>\n

Larry\u2019s problem (for now) is that he\u2019s splitting time with Daniel Fells.\u00a0 He will win that battle, and become Eli\u2019s main safety valve.\u00a0 Larry burst onto the scene last year with 63 receptions, good for a tie for 9th<\/sup> place among TE.\u00a0 We like him to finish in the Top 10 again in this year, not bad for only being owned in 39% of leagues.<\/p>\n
