Wow, what a weekend of games.\u00a0 Beastmode\u00a0and the Seahawks\u00a0backed up their #1 seed, Peyton proves he\u2019s still the best player in the game, C Kap\u00a0and the Niners\u00a0relish the role of evil villain (and look damn impressive doing so), and the Patriots unleash six rushing tds in a beat down of Indy.<\/p>\n

[Selfless self-promotion alert]\u00a0 If you\u2019ve been keeping score (and hopefully betting) with The Machine\u2019s expert picks, you\u2019ll see that this Ginger and Roid Rage nailed it last week, each going a perfect 3-0-1.\u00a0 Obviously, Vegas Vinny finished last.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anyway, this sets up one hell of a Championship weekend.\u00a0 Niners at Seattle:\u00a0 the biggest rivalry in the NFL today, and New England at Denver:\u00a0 Brady v. Manning.\u00a0 Need we say more?\u00a0 These games are going to be epic, and we can\u2019t imagine how great it would be to experience them live\u2026and that\u2019s where the teabag comes in.<\/p>\n

Immediately after the Niners\/Seahawks game was set, the Seahawks announced<\/a>\u00a0that they would only be selling tickets to people that live in geographically friendly areas, which, as you can guess, does not include California.\u00a0 Similarly, the Broncos front office is restricting sales<\/a> as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Think about that for a second\u2026and then let the rage take over.\u00a0 Are you kidding me?\u00a0 This is a classless move by both teams.\u00a0 It forces Niners and Patriots fans to buy tickets on the secondary market at ridiculously marked up prices.\u00a0 It\u2019s stupid and low brow, qualities The Machine normally appreciates, but not in this instance.<\/p>\n

And where\u2019s the outrage from my Commerce Clause fans?\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s especially douchey for Seattle, who boasts the 12th<\/sup> Man\u2026the loudest stadium in the NFL, where fans cause earthquakes<\/a>.\u00a0 If you truly have the best home field advantage, why do you have to pull this gimmick?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Glad they kept the 12th Man an organic, fan-created idea, and didn’t go all corporate.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sorry, but you\u2019re the #1 seed in the NFC.\u00a0 You don\u2019t need to pull some second-rate promotional bullshit that\u2019s befitting a Triple-A baseball team.\u00a0 It\u2019s almost as bad as Zubaz and a Monkey Night<\/a>.\u00a0 Same goes for you, Denver. \u00a0You have Peyton Manning and government grade weed.\u00a0 You don\u2019t need this.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Need more proof this is crazy?\u00a0 Niners\u00a0Coach Jim Harbaugh respects it<\/a>.\u00a0 Um, last we checked, Jim Harbaugh is a raving lunatic\u2026and if he endorses it, you know it\u2019s crazy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Machine hopes this doesn\u2019t become a trend, but it\u2019s a copycat league, so the chances that this is the only time it happens is remote. \u00a0If this does become the new wildcat, we hope RGI and the league will step in and prohibit this.\u00a0 Nothing says fan friendly like some good old geographic discrimination.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This just reeks of desperation and insecurity, which is strange coming from the NFL\u2019s two best teams.\u00a0 You guys are the #1 seeds.\u00a0 You don\u2019t need any more affirmation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What little respect we did have for the 12th<\/sup>\u00a0Man [cue east coast bias] has now completely vanished. \u00a0It just means they\u2019ll be more Seahawks fans there to watch them lose.\u00a0<\/p>\n
