The sun is shining.\u00a0 Birds are chirping.\u00a0 Mrs. Machine is rocking her Big Red Sports Machine hoody.\u00a0 That can only mean one thing:\u00a0 it\u2019s time for football!!!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yes, I\u2019m back from my (perfectly timed) family vacation, and now, for the next six months, can focus on nothing but football (perhaps the occasional World Series game).\u00a0 I\u2019m already a perfect 1-0 on the season (suck it, Hank Goldberg) so let\u2019s get right in to some of the Week 1 games we can\u2019t wait for.<\/p>\n

New England (+10) at Buffalo<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s tough to bet on football on Week 1.\u00a0 Tough, but not impossible.\u00a0 One thing you want to look for Home Dogs.\u00a0 The Pats at Gronk-less and double-digit\u00a0favorites.\u00a0 Buffalo is unveiling the much-hyped Doug Marrone, and the much-hyped EJ\u00a0Manual.\u00a0 With CJ Spiller\u00a0and Stevie Johnson, EJ could become the missing piece of this young, revamped Bills offense.\u00a0 If nothing else, we like the Bills -10 because it\u2019s September, and Buffalo always plays its best ball early.\u00a0 Spirits are high in Buffalo (for now), and the fans will carry them to a less than 10 point loss, which folks in Buffalo will consider a win.<\/p>\n

Green Bay (-4.5) at San Francisco<\/b><\/p>\n

Ginger King\u2019s lock of the week (LOTW).\u00a0 Aaron Rodgers and crew are back in San Fran and that playoff beat-down is still fresh in their minds.\u00a0 This will likely be the only time all season the Pack are underdogs.\u00a0 Both teams are the studs of the NFC.\u00a0 Harbaugh\u00a0and his tough as nails defense and read option (yes, it\u2019s still a fad) offense, and McCarthy with his high-powered (and now balanced?) Green Bay Packers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This game has last second field goal written all over it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

New York Giants (+3.5) at Dallas<\/b><\/p>\n

Another game that should come down to the wire, The Giants march into Dallas, where they are undefeated (4-0) playing in the house that Jerrah\u00a0built. Dez\u00a0Bryant should be able to get past the G-Men secondary at will, the question is whether the Giants d-line can put enough pressure on Romo.\u00a0 Eli has a healthy (for now) Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, and the Giants will throw early and often, and sprinkle in the home run running game of David Wilson.\u00a0 The Giants average 35 pts. a game in Jerrah\u2019s house.\u00a0 Expect a high scoring affair.<\/p>\n
